Where Mortal and Immortal Meet

2021 marks the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the Society of Friends of Glasgow Cathedral by Rev. A. Nevile Davidson.  To mark this milestone, a new book will be published, entitled Where Mortal and Immortal Meet, edited by Dr. Andrew G. Ralston.  The introduction is by Dr. James Macaulay, Chairman of the Friends, and the Foreword by Rev. Mark Johnstone, Cathedral Minister.

Part One of the book traces the history of the Society of Friends and Part Two contains sixteen studies by eminent historians of the past and present, covering different aspects of the development of the Cathedral from the time of St. Mungo up to the twentieth century.

Join us on Sunday 28 November 2021 in the Sacristy of Glasgow Cathedral after the morning service (c.12.30am) for a launch event at which copies will be available for the price of £15 (instead of the RRP of £29).  All proceeds go to the Society of Friends. Refreshments will be served.

Thereafter, copies will be available in the Cathedral and mail orders can also be taken.  For more information, or to register for the book launch, please contact book@glasgowcathedral.org
